This past Monday, my design professor at Parsons Paris surprised my class with an invitation to Le Mussé Yves Saint Laurent located on Marceau Avenue. The curators opened the museum just for us, and we were shown into a replica of Laurent’s design space, skilled sketches, and iconic runways pieces. I was amazed by the talent of such a young man who was and is respected so largely in the chaos of the Fashion industry. Spesifcially, I loved the chaos of Saint Laurent himself as his work space was scattered with sketches, swatches, and inspirations. As I did see the YSL: Perfection of Style exhibit in Virginia last year, I was once again left in awe wishing he was still designing his maximalist jewelry and bold patterns.
