I bought this white fabric three years ago with the intention of recreating a skirt my sister bought that didn't fit her anymore. While packing for school, I found it at the bottom of my rolls of fabric, cut into a few panels, two of which were held together by a thirteen inch zipper. While pining theses panels to my mannequin, I created an asymmetrical design with intentional rough edges. This skirt took me over an hour to figure out how to place the 15 by 9 inch rectangles that were half finished and very difficult to work with, while I had to keep in mind length, fit, practicality, and transparency. After pinning, re pinning, and re pinning again, I finally sewed this art piece together and am fairly happy with the outcome as it is one of my more creative pieces.
